Tangled in Red
Statement:
While the “Body” depiction has been a central theme in my recent collection, the approach in "Tangled in Red" deviates from the conventional singular portrayal. In my artworks, the body represents a collective body; the body of "us," who are born, grow up, suffer, sometimes become complete and sometimes remain incomplete, until they perish.
The central idea of this collection draws from red stains that shape this narrative; a narrative deeply connected to the shared memory of "us." Each artwork is built around the relationship between these fluid red forms and the body's contours, attempting to understand the body’s place within the current societal context.

“This approach echoes the Persian tradition of intertwining personal and collective experiences, where individual stories become part of a larger cultural narrative. The fluidity of red symbolizes not only pain and memory but also carries the weight of blood and life, resonating with the deep-rooted symbolism in Persian art and literature, where red embodies the balance between vitality, suffering, and existence.”
